Song to the Siren
Tim Buckley Lyrics

Long afloat on shipless oceans
I did all my best to smile
'til your singing eyes and fingers
Drew me loving to your isle

And you sang
Sail to me
Sail to me, let me enfold you
Here I am
Here I am
Waiting to hold you
Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Were you hare when I was fox?
Now my foolish boat is leaning
Broken lovelorn on your rocks
For you sing
'Touch me not
Touch me not, come back tomorrow
O my heart, o my heart, shies from the sorrow'

Well I am puzzled as the newborn child
I am troubled at the tide
Should I stand amid the breakers?
Should I lie with death my bride?
Hear me sing swim to me
Swim to me, let me enfold you
Here I am, here I am
Waiting to hold you

Long afloat on shipless oceans
I did all my best to smile
'Til your singing eyes and fingers
Drew me loving to your isle
And you sang
Sail to me, sail to me
Let me enfold you
Here I am, here I am
Waiting to hold you

Did I dream you dreamed about me ?
Were you hare when I was fox ?
Now my foolish boat is leaning
Broken lovelorn on your rocks
For you sing
'Touch me not, touch me not
Come back tomorrow
Oh my heart, oh my heart
Shies from the sorrow'

I am puzzled as the oyster
I am troubled as the tide
Should I stand amid your breakers ?
Or should I lie with death my bride ?
Hear me sing
'Swim to me, swim to me
Let me enfold you
Here I am, here I am
Waiting to hold you'

Tales of Mere Existence

As someone who tends to be unemotional, I admit this one gets me a bit.

Yer big wuss. I'm joking, this is a fabulous song and there are many wonderful versions of it out there, by Tim Buckley and other artists.

I can't imagine living without emotions, it sounds like you have a very boring and average life. Go to the business school, you'll fit perfectly.

Heroin, remember that

@Heyoka_J That’s just ridiculous and taking political correctness way too far, I get hysterical occasionally and my daughter was hysterical a few times growing up in ofd time here and there. here and there. Id suggest that this thread seems to be adults, so why come along and tell grown ass people what to say. I’ll be me and you’ll be you , which is rather unfortunate.
