When the Saints Go Marching In
Tony Sheridan Lyrics

Hey! We are following the footsteps of those who've gone before and we'll all be reunited on that new and sunlit shore.

[Chorus:]
Oh, when the saints go marching in, [Repeat] oh, Lord, I want to be in that number when the saints go marching in.

And when the sun refuse to shine, [Repeat] oh, Lord, I want to be in that number when the sun refuse to shine.

Oh, when the trumpet sound its call, [Repeat] oh, Lord, I want to be in that number when the trumpet sounds that call.

Oh, when the new world is revealed, [Repeat] oh, Lord, I want to be in that number when the new world is revealed.

[Chorus]

This Tony Sheridan fellow could be the next Elvis. As for the Beat Brothers, while they have potential, I don’t see them going very far.

your dad

@Phillip Warwick they were joking of course they know the beatles

Phillip Warwick

You know they are the Beatles

Jessica Guerra

They were named the Beat Brothers & not the Beatles to avoid confusion with the word Piddle, meaning "penis" in the regional dialect of northern Germany.

Joe Nania

+Jessica Guerra - - Jessica, Yes years ago I had heard of what you have made mention of here at Youtube - - It is TRUE - - the Germans had a street slang word for the word PENIS that was PIDDLE - - - - which sounded a lot like what the Fab Four had named themselves early on - THEN the WORLD went on NOT EVER (yet) KNOWING of the word PENIS connection - - Joe Nania a.k.a. Pete Best for ever

@slouhend Pete was a Rock Drummer, and His Pete Best Combo has interesting combinations. "Ringo was a Ballroom Drummer." Every major event in the Beatles career had Pete on the Drums. All of Hamburg tours, until the last gig in December of 1963. My live gigs than Ringo. Litherland Hall, that started the rise of the Beatles in Liverpool (with Paul on the Guitar and Best's former band mate of Bass). Best was the Drummer when they first met Little Richard in Novermber of 1962. The first and 2nd BBC radio performances. The recorded ordered that caught Brian Epstein's attention. Best had a separate Fan Club. Epstein wanted to build a band around Best. The All Stars fired their drummer to get best. This band came in 2nd (to the Beatles) in the Liverpool band popularity contests. Ever hear Ringo's early works. Although documented that Ringo played, Starr always claims it's not him on the recording (because they suck). Starr grew as a drummer and his unique style dove-tailed with with the Beatles, but Quincy Jones has a low opinion of Ringo's drum talents. "“And Ringo? Don’t even talk about it...Ringo had taken three hours for a four-bar thing he was trying to fix on a song. He couldn’t get it. We said: ‘Mate, why don’t you get some lager and lime, some shepherd’s pie, and take an hour-and-a-half and relax a little bit. In the interim, Jones called English jazz drummer Ronnie Verrell into the studio.
“Ronnie came in for 15 minutes and tore it up. Ringo comes back and says: ‘George, can you play it back for me one more time?’" “So George did, and Ringo says: ‘That didn’t sound so bad.’ And I said: ‘Yeah, motherfucker because it ain’t you.’ Great guy, though.” Ringo was my favorite Beatle in the 1960's, however, Andy White could keep a steadier beat, and Jimmi Nichols could hear a Beatles's song once and nail the drum track. Compare Ringo on Yer Blues vs. Mitch Mitchell's drumming of the same song on the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus excerpt on YouTube. Ringo didn't play drums on every Beatle song during the White Album Sessions. “The Ballad of John and Yoko,” "Back in the U.S.S.R.” and “Martha My Dear” are Paul on Drums. Pete Best always was a better singer than Ringo (here him on the Kansas City, Hey Hey Hey medley (he tou

No way. His drumming was horrible. Lots of drumrolls when no one expect it. ("Atom beat", it's told? Very funny. Maybe atomic trouble.) And what's wrong, his drumming did not change for years. Now he's even worse. Look at any videos with his drumming.
