Superman
Unwritten Law Lyrics

You've been on my mind
And I don't think I have the time
To listen to your voice
I've heard it all before
It's been seeping through the floor
Shut behind closed doors
But I can see right through you now
Yeah

The beneficial lies
Are told to keep us with closed eyes
Shading what's in store
I guess it's up to me
To find the lock and turn the key
And open up theses doors
But I can see right through now
Yeah

Oh yeah I'm superman
A three piece suit and a master plan
Here I come to save the day
Oh yeah I'm superman
A three piece suit and a master plan
Here I come to save the day

Well you've been on my mind
And I don't think I have the time
To listen to your voice
I've heard it all before
It's been seeping through the floor
Shut behind closed doors
But I can see right through you now
Yeah

Oh yeah I'm superman
A three piece suit and a master plan
Here I come to save the day
Oh yeah I'm superman
A three piece suit and a master plan
Here I come to save the day

I don't want to follow (whoa)
You can't make me follow (whoa)
I don't want to follow (whoa)
You can't make me follow now

Oh yeah I'm superman
A three piece suit and a master plan
Here I come to save the day
Oh yeah I'm superman
A three piece suit and a master plan
Here I come to save the day

This was part of my introduction to finding my own music that I liked.
I just always listened to whatever my parents or older sister listened to, which gave me a good knowledge of rap, hip hop, rnb, old school, and for some reason my dad had zeplin and Rush albums.
I didn't get into that stuff until later.
But in 96, this was my gate way.
I used to watch both Bill and Ted movies all the time, and I wanted to hear more stuff like it, and since then I've never looked back.
This gets me kind of weepy, I was so curious and fasinated, and non jaded at the time.

GF won for originality, OLP won for best song (but Dead is added), and Unwritten Law is a close outlier. Then there is the Crash Test Dummies...

The Best Western

After being a huge fan of Blue Room, this song kicked ass when I first heard it live at Mancini's in the valley. Not long after I got a Rickenbacker 4001 of my own. Loved these guys' first two albums then I don't know what the hell they were thinking!

We Remotely Low

Does every god damn band have a song called β€œSuperman”
