Vic began work on the CD in Delaware and released some "Limited Editions" starting in 2005. When Vic moved to Berkeley, California to work with the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance the 9/11 Truth & Justice Songs CD was completed and released on September 11, 2011. On that same day Vic launched his official website at www.vicsadot.com
Ballad of William Rodriguez is the lead-off song. Vic Sadot interviewed William Rodriguez in 2005 after reading about his story. Rodriguez was a janitor at the World Trade Center for 20 years. On 9/11/01 he became a "Ground Zero Hero" by rescuing people in the North Tower before it disintegrated to powder and rubble in about 10 seconds. Rodriguez became a 9/11 Truth activist after his testimony of several hours to the 9/11 Commission was, like the testimony of Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta, completely omitted from the final report released to the public.
The second song, Cheney's in the Bunker , is based on the testimony of Secretary of Transportion Norman Mineta to the 9/11 Commission in which he states that Vice President Dick Cheney was already in charge in the White House bunker known as the Presidential Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) when Mineta arrived at 9:20 am on 9/11. The song uses the exact words of Mineta's testimony that states that a young man kept asking Cheney, "Do the orders still stand?" This was going on in the time after both towers were hit by planes but before the Pentagon and Flight 93 events. Vic Sadot discovered this information in David Ray Griffin's book titled The 9/11 Commission: Omissions and Distortions . Griffin discovered the omitted testimony in a May 2004 staff report. The changing of the time line for Vice President Cheney’s arrival in the PEOC White House bunker to 9:58 am was done without explanation, according to David Ray Griffin. The Mineta testimony and it’s omission from the final report was not given much attention by the mainstream media. Congress has not pursued the meaning of Mineta’s testimony. Griffin and many other 9/11 Truth activists have questioned why the Democratic Party has likewise demonstrated little interest in finding out who actually sent the US military-sourced finely milled anthrax spores to their own Congressional leaders, Senator Patrick Leahy and Representative Daschle. Vic Sadot says, “The lack of media and Congressional inquiry in these matters has only inspired people all over the world to investigate further in the seven years since the events of 9/11 came to “shock and awe” the American public. The attempt to exploit the catastrophic and orchestrated events, including 9/11, and the manipulative manner employed, is explained so well by Naomi Klein, author of The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism”, states Sadot.

Mad Cowboy Disease , a cartoon song about the Neo Con war policies, and Are You A Citizen or Are You a Slave an anthem to struggle, were previously released on Broadsides & Retrospectives . They are appropriately included in this collection.
Another song that has 9/11 relevance is The Ballad of Pat Tillman . It tells the story of how Tillman at first believed the official 9/11 conspiracy story and the need to wage the "War on Terror". According to Pat Tillman's mother Mary, her son began reading Noam Chomsky after being deployed. He corresponded with Chomsky and came to view the war in Iraq as illegal. This information is part of the song as it tells the story of Pat Tillman in an Irish ballad style. Vic Sadot wrote about the Pat Tillman story at his Broadside Balladeer Blog and sites numerous sources there:

The Ballad of Pat Tillman was written in 2005 at a time when the story was changed from Pat Tillman dying in a battle with the enemy to a death by friendly fire. This had come out due to the family's campaign to pressure the Pentagon to release information about the circumstances of Pat's death. Vic wrote his song before the coroner's report was finally made public in July of 2006. An unsigned article was posted by the AP at the prestigious Editor & Publisher magazine, "America's Oldest Journal covering the Newspaper Industry" on July 26, 2006 under the title "Was Tillman Murdered? AP Gets New Documents". Vic Sadot changed the live version of the song from "It was friendly fire, not the foe" to "It wasn't friendly fire, nor the foe". The coroner report states that Pat Tillman was killed by three bullets to the forehead at 10 yards range.

Other 9/11 specific songs that are not finished being recorded at this writing, but are included as acoustic solo versions on the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance copy are Trouble in the Rubble and Blowback or Bloody Treason , Trouble in the Rubble is based on an AP story by Amy Westfeldt that ran in the Washington Post on October 20, 2006. The subject of the article is about how the data gathered about 9/11 at the World Trade Center showed that the rescue dogs were not affected with as much illness as the human rescue workers were by the toxic air and debris. The Environmental Protection Agency under Christie Todd Whitman had issued a report just days after 9/11/01 that stated that there was no danger in the area. Associated Press reporter Amy Westfelt refers to "white hot debris" without dealing with the question about the ability of jet fuel fires rather than demolition explosives might have caused this extreme heat.

Blowback or Bloody Treason was written by Vic Sadot after reading Michael Ruppert's Crossing the Rubicon . Ruppert had been an LA narcotics detective until he supported reporter Gary Webb for his documentation of CIA drug dealing in what became known as the Iran-Contra Affair. Ruppert looked at the events of 9/11 as a detective would investigate a crime scene, rather than as a politician out to exploit the events for the motive of gaining public support or acceptance for wars for corporate empire and repressive laws such as the so-called Patriot Act. Like Michael Ruppert, or any TV detective, such as Columbo or Murder She Wrote, would investigate a crime, the song asks the same question in the chorus that any good detective would ask: "Who had the means, who had the motive, who could do this crime and live? Who had the opportunity? Who could benefit to what degree? We need a great detective's logic! Forensic facts and laws of physics! Not leaps of faith! Just steps to reason! Was it Blowback or Bloody Treason?"
Songwriter Vic Sadot says, "It is a fact that the official government 9/11 Commission story is a conspiracy theory that is obligated to present it's own verifiable evidence and explanations." David Ray Griffin often begins his lectures by rejecting the attempt to dismiss and discredit critics of the "Official 9/11 Conspiracy Story" on the basis that they are "Conspiracy theorists". Vic Sadot credits writers like David Ray Griffin and Michael Ruppert for inspiring this collection of songs. He cites their on-line speeches for "having the power to break through the psychological blockade that has been created by cororate media disinfo."
