By the end of the seventies Volkerazzi, born in southern Hessen Seeheim-Jugenheim as Volker Friedrich, began to make music in his hometown Pfungstadt. First in the local dilettantes band „Guru, Gonzo, Fratz, Wulle, Hink & Schpaschel“, then from autumn 1981 also as a soloist under the pseudonym „Die Ichs (The Egos)“, by which he is to be mentioned in the music magazine „sounds“ in the may 1982 edition (quote: „…and Die Ichs (hollow dilettants noise)“). Regardless, the main thing was to be mentioned! It was just the time of punk in germany!
Because of the overriding need to have real money, the musical career came with the end of 1983 to more than one stops, increasing to a standstill in 1984.
After several years of searching for inspiration, he began in the late nineties to paint self-taught and to photograph and with others he formed the community of artists Pungscht/Pfungstadt KUEKOPP (http://www.myspace.com/kuekopp).
At the end of the millennium in 1999 he recorded three songs for a planned EP, which thematized the unfounded fears of an apocalypse in 2000. These were the tracks „Dämonischer Aufmarsch (Demonic Onslaught)“, „Atomarer Letztschlag (Atomic Final Blow)“ and „Die furchtbare Drohung des glasköpfigen Kults (The terrible threat of the glass headed cult)“. The last one can be seen along with the video on the homepage of the KUEKOPP (www.myspace.com/kuekopp) still today.
Since 2009 Volkerazzi again worked on his own tracks and remixes of other musicians, and thanks to the label and publisher Zimbalam/Believe Digital, he can now publish his tracks as downloads wordwide.
In June 2010 the well known house-dj Chipie remixed Volkerazzi’s „Mother Earth“, which is available as a free download of Volkerazzi’s german website www.friedrich-pfungstadt.de .
A historical day for Volkerazzi was the 12 July 2010 when his track „Slave“ was first played publicly in the presence of hundreds of people at a ceremony at Las Dalias in Sant Carles, Ibiza.
