The band formed in the early 2000s and quickly gained recognition for their exuberant live performances and catchy dance-punk sound. The band's debut album, Hit The Floor! was released in 2005 and received positive reviews from critics, leading to extensive touring and appearances at major festivals.

In 2007, the band released their sophomore album, Lose All Time, which received even greater critical acclaim and topped the Earshot charts for an extended period. The band's relentless touring and positive reviews helped establish them as one of the leading acts in Vancouver's burgeoning indie music scene, alongside other notable bands such as Ladyhawk, Black Mountain, and The New Pornographers.
