their first stage was a cover of AKB48's チームA (AKB48) 1st Stage "PARTYが始まるよ" (PARTY ga hajimeru yo), but wasn't precisely performed by Team S. at that time, SKE wasn't divided in different teams yet, so it was technically (and officially) performed by "SKE48". similar to what happened for AKB48's 1st stage, commonly known as a "Team A" stage, while it was actually officially performed by "AKB48", and eventually became a Team A stage after its formation.
soon after debuting as "Team S", they started performing an original stage "手をつなぎながら" (Te wo tsunaginagara) in late 2008. S2 lasted until September of the same year, and in October S3, titled "制服の芽" (Seifuku no Me) debuted, and its still being performed as of today.
studio recordings for both original stages have been released during 2009. "Te wo tsunaginagara" reached top 10 in Oricon's daily album ranking, and it ended up for the top 20 of the week. "Seifuku no Me" debuted at 8# in the daily charts, and ranked in the top 15 for the week.
