Acid Ghost emerged onto the San Francisco indie-pop scene in early 2015, debuting their music with the release of their first single, "All Alone," in January of that year. The band swiftly followed this with a 4-song EP titled "Ghosts & Rotten Love" in April 2015, showcasing range across genres such as dream pop and alternative rock. In July of the same year, they released their debut album, "Vacation," recorded entirely in their home studio.
In 2017, Acid Ghost faced a period of silence following several allegations of sexual assault against Ace Barcelon. Barcelon publicly admitted to sending unwanted explicit content and engaging in inappropriate text conversations. Subsequently, the band took a hiatus. However, they returned in January 2023 with the release of their album titled "-".
