Tired after reading the latest book on my shelf, I decided to land up on social media to see some humour and stalk some people ( I do it often, at times).
A friend (Mutual friend of me and my ex) had a story and a picture to share. I could see her smiling in a group selfie. (Although I have blocked her on every social platform)
I smiled initially, but all of a sudden it felt someone was about to pierce a dagger through me and I immediately scrolled down, without much of a thought.
But, like always I drifted back to the memories. I smiled, I felt dismayed. I started to miss her. The thought of calling her or sending an email popped in my mind. But then I assured myself that she doesn’t want me in her life. And I might ruin her present and mine if I try to talk to her. So I passed on that thought and decided to focus on something else. (I wrote a poem)
And now im here because this songs reminds her of me
Sometimes, all you can do is just miss and relive the memories. After all what are memories for? To cherish and carry on life with.
There’s no fun in dwindling behind your past.
I choose peace. And I shall always do
