2) Brendon Whitney (April 5, 1976 – March 30, 2018), better known by his stage name Alias, was a producer and rapper from Hollis, Maine. He was a co-founder of the indie hip hop record label Anticon.
3) Alias, born in Portland, Maine to a jazz drummer and a church organist, grew up in a suburb called Hollis and played drums in his high school band. Isolated in a small town, alias found no music that captivated him until at age 13 when he saw "Yo MTV Raps." Alone in his interest in hiphop, alias sought to immerse himself in this foreign counter-culture. He bought The Source monthly at the one shop in Maine that carried it, and by age 14 he was writing his own raps. In support of his new found passion, his parents bought him a drum machine for Christmas, and alias rapped over his own beats in the privacy of his bedroom, too shy to share his rhymes with anyone.
However, in 1993, upon meeting Sole, who was already recording and doing shows, alias began rapping in ciphers at parties. He moved his "studio" from his bedroom to a friend's basement where he taught himself to use an MPC 3000 and an ADAT machine. In '96 he started doing shows with The Live Poets (sole's group) around New England.
In '98 during the deep puddle dynamics sessions in Minneapolis with Slug, dose and sole, alias realized that music would be his life's work. Now taking himself seriously as a rapper and producer, he moved with the first wave of the anticon West Coast migration into a warehouse in East Oakland with his wife Jen and sole. Within a year he had recorded the other side of the looking glass, his first solo release, a rap-heavy introspective opus. alias found himself drawn more towards production while working on tracks for sole's selling live water album, and in 2002-03 he recorded his first instrumental project, the eyes closed ep (out now) which anticipates the upcoming muted full-length (oct 2003).
Alias has collaborated with every member of the anticon roster, Slug of Atmosphere, Sage Francis, DJ Krush, and Markus Acher of the Notwist. He has toured the world, performing with such acts as The Roots, Dalek, Freestyle Fellowship, and Kid 606.
4) Alias was A UK grime and dark garage producer.
5) Alias was a Southern Rock band featuring members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Rossington Collins Band. They released the album Contraband in 1979.
6) Alias was a traditional metal band from Sarasota, Florida. Formed in 1985 and released their self titled debut in 1987 and the follower Metal to Infinity two years later.
7) Alias is American action television series created by J. J. Abrams which was broadcast on ABC for five seasons, from September 30, 2001 to May 22, 2006. It starred Jennifer Garner as Sydney Bristow, a CIA agent.
The main theme of the series explores Sydney's obligation to conceal her true career from her friends and family, even as she assumes multiple aliases to carry out her missions. These themes are most prevalent in the first two seasons of the show. A major plotline of the series was the search for and recovery of artifacts created by Milo Rambaldi, a fictional Leonardo da Vinci-like inventor and Nostradamus-like prophet from the Renaissance period. This plot and some technologies used in the series pushed Alias into the genre of science fiction.

More Than Words Can Say
Alias Lyrics
Here I am at six o'clock in the morning
Still thinking about you
It's still hard, at six o'clock in the morning
To sleep without you
And I know that it might
Seem too late for love
All I know
I need you now
More than words can say
I need you now
I've got to find a way
I need you now
Before I lose my mind
I need you now
Here I am, I'm looking out my window
I'm dreaming about you
Can't let you go, at six o'clcok in the morning
I feel you beside me
And I know that it might
Seem too late for love
For love Oh, Oh, Oh
I need you now
More than words can say
I need you now
I've got to find a way
I need you now
Before I lose my mind
I need you now
More than words can say
I need you now
Oh I got to hear you say
I need you now
Before I lose my mind
I need you now
I need you now

@Larry Fleetwood : Hey Larry. Again, glad you enjoyed Bro. I could present clip, after clip, after clip of super awesome performances I've come across from these utterly, outstanding Asian, performers that have time and time again, left me speechless, quite emotional and bauling like a baby, pretty much. Within seconds of watching this performance I was going to flick it off thinking it was some sort of beat box thing, and while this is a talent of sorts, I guess, I'm not a huge fan, but I decided to keep watching and was extremely, impressed with the animal sounds this guy was making and how well the visuals in the background added to the effect of the sound, but when they brought up the orange lights and other guys joined into what was the "Circle of Life" song, I stated loosing it all together. By the end Bro, the tears were streaming down my face, these guys effected me that much. I'm still, floored at how well the guy in the back did the Titanic theme song. Absolutely, outstanding.
An absolutely, outstanding performance by anybody's standard, I would say. So much power, passion and intensity in their singing, and while I do not know a word of any African language either, the African part at the beginning sounded impeccable to me. Plus, I was able to get a description from someone in the audience judging; stating how well they pronounced/articulated the African part.
THIS, is what I look for in any pop music of any ganera Brother. I want a "Spiritual" experience, pretty much, to be deeply and powerfully moved, and these guys here, provided that in spades. I'm so, overjoyed I have discovered Asian Pop, and now that I have there will never be any turning back again.
Now this singing/talent show is from Korea actually, and I have yet, to be able to get the name of it. I'm currently, watching another video of a compilation of clips from some Korean singing/talent show but I'm unclear if it's the same one. And that's what I mean; these guys pump out these shows like you would not believe, to the point that I simply, cannot keep track. They are clearly, far, far, more invested in singing/vocalizing and musical artistry than anything we seem to pump out here, even in the U.S. with all the money it has; and of a quality and standard that completely, blows away anything from the West, currently. Basically, Asia is kicking ass, big time, in this regard Bro, and we are left in their wake eating their dust, as far as I'm concerned. I don't see Britain either, pumping out this quality of material, with their very, long standing musical history. No one save maybe, some of the Eastern European Countries, such as Poland, as I mentioned before.
Regarding Bel Canto; well, I'm not sure I would be a fan otherwise, as it's almost, a little TOO, operatic for my liking, but again, I love how the Asians - China and Korea in particular - do it here. Maybe it's their languages - I absolutely, love the sound of the Korean language spoken or sung - and the power and passion they put into their performances and clearly, the high level of quality they all, express but I really, love how they do the Bel Canto style, overall. Larry, Bro, I can't recommend "Super Vocal" strongly enough, Bro. Almost every last one of the guys on that show are truly, super talented, and should ALL, be International Superstars in their own right. I'm disgusted by the simple, fact of language being the barrier in many of the outstandingly, super, highly, talented, Asian performers not being able to make the crossover to the North American market. We are loosing out big time, and these utterly, outstanding performers are not being allowed to shine on the Global Stage as they so, rightly, should. Sad, very sad indeed, and simply, should not exist in this day and age.
Thank You for the link, Brother. I will check it out. I've been meaning to get into more Polish Pop again, but have been so wrapped up with all this super, outstanding, content coming out of Asia, currently. I became aware of the Polish Artist from checking out these Voice International channels that are all over YouTube here, and like with the Asian Performers, was extremely, impressed, indeed. Again, another VERY, lovely language to listen to being sung, like Gaelic and Korean for my ear.
Warmest Wishes Brother. Out For Now. 🙂🖐🏼

@Larry Fleetwood : Hey Larry, how are you doing Brother? So terribly, sorry for the very, late reply to this reply of yours. Just things going on, on my end of things. Life, more or less, I guess, Bro.
Anyway, I'm very, pleased you enjoyed this performance. I shared with you one of my favourite performances from this show, and also, partly, because they sang the song in English, though for me it would not have mattered what language it was in, as I would have enjoyed it equally, as well, regardless, but there are countless, other, super perfect and super talented, performances I could have chosen, as well. All more than well the worth in checking out.
The clips I provided for you Larry, are from two Chinese, singing/talent shows I came across while searching for great, top quality, Asian Pop, but there are so, so, many more out there, as I continually, come across clips from other shows of this nature, all across Asia. The two featured here are, as I mentioned before; "I Am A Singer" and "Super Vocal." The "I Am A Singer" show featured talented performers from many generas of Asian Pop, while the "Super Vocal" show featured talented performers who sing in the Bel Canto style, mostly, but even, here they attempted to spruce it up a little, singing pop songs from other generas, as many of the performances were not technically, pure, Bel Canto in style and technical presentation.
Yes, I think you hit the nail on head with your last statement Larry, and why I'm becoming such a huge, huge, fan of Asian Pop, currently. The quality and professionalism is off the charts compared to anything all of North America - both Canada and the United States - and Many Parts of Europe - I'm thinking Britain in particular - are offering, currently. I'm pleased that you see this yourself.
If you were to simply, type "Asian Pop" into the YouTube search engine, I'm sure a long list of many of the most popular Asian Singing/Talent shows will come up, including the two I've taken these clips from. If you are searching for good, quality, current, pop music, and are not bothered too much, by not being able to understand the lyrics of the songs being sung; I very, highly, recommend you check out this scene yourself.
And here, in that vain, I would like to include the link from a singing/talent show from Korea that I came across around, two weeks ago. This performance left me speechless Larry, and crying like a baby, pretty much. I so, so, hope you enjoy. Here it is -

This song came out in the 80's and yet it's still far superior to 100% of the crap on the radio these days. 80's forever!!!!

With all the streaming nowadays, artists do not make a lot of money. They need to tour to make money. Reason why quality is no near as it used to be some decades ago. Internet even so great, screwed music

One of the best pure voices in pop music ever. Not many out there that can belt it out like this guy.

I love soft rock ballads more than any genre and it's a pity that singers aren't that romantic anymore. Nothing can beat those soulful melodies when men weren't afraid to express their feelings
