They formed in late 2005, with original members Jeff Innes (guitars, synthesizers, piano, vocals), Brandon Scott (guitar, vocals), and Vincent Jones (drums) coming together from past projects in the local music community. The band rounded out with Adam Newton (guitars) in late 2006, simultaneously allowing more freedom and focus to their roles.
Alpha Baby recorded their album "You Gentle Crustacean" at HIVE Studios in Vancouver BC during 2006. The album features their unique blend of vocal harmonies, constantly urged along by infectious melodies and unexpected instrumental experimentation. The influences and contributions of each member result in a multifarious and ultimately uplifting musical experience.
