She has been likened to Sinead O’Connor and Dolores O'Riordan for her strong vocals.
Residing in Toronto, Canada, this Tasmanian musician started her solo career as Animalia in January, 2012, and has since released two independent EP’s: “To the Waking, the Shaking and the Volatile” and “A Wave to Wash the World Away”.
The song “Unity” (off the first EP) appeared in the movie “Antiviral” by Brandon Cronenberg, which premiered at Cannes Film Festival 2012.
“A Wave to Wash the World Away” has been played on a range of Canadian College and Community radio stations and Australia’s Triple J Unearthed has the track “Swimming” on rotation.
June, 2013, saw Animalia’s first festival appearance at Toronto’s North by North East.
