Another Life formed in Camberley, Surrey in Mid-2004 by Steve Smith, Craig Bradford and Graeme Bradford (Drums). Tom Taylor would then join the band in March of 2006.
During the early days they went through a mixture of line ups, including a guitarist / vocalist when they first started, a keyboard player shortly after and several members as a second guitarist.
The band wrote a wealth of songs whilst searching for a singer and when Tom Taylor joined, the band moved ahead rapidly and recorded 'The No Named Demo' in April 2006.
In October 2006 Fairclough left for the second time. The band then started working on new songs and searching for a new guitarist. In November 2006 the band decided to continue without a second guitarist.
In January 2007 the band recorded a new 4-track demo jokingly entitled 'Satanic Cuckoo Clock' but really called 'The No Named Demo II'. On February 3rd the band played at a local Shindig and hired a new guitarist who was kicked out a day later going on as a four piece and how they are today.
In 2010 the band released their first EP entitled 'A New Beginning EP', which features five songs and came with a free live DVD.
The bands music is a mixture of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, with some acoustic songs as well. The band's lyrics generally deal with personal subjects with a small number dealing with politcal aspects or fictional stories. The band's lyrics also feature a lot of cross-referencing. Featuring words and phrases that crop up often and some of the bands songs feature references to other songs in the bands catalouge.
The band went onto indefinite hiatus in September 2011.
