Love and music have always been a natural, integral part of his being, of his life. As a teenager, in his early 20s and early 30s he was playing, singing and composing in several music bands. He studied classical guitar and singing (later on also one year of conservatoire) and completed his humanistic studies at the university. He is a composer, song writer, guitar and keyboard player and a singer. His first (try out) solo CD, "I'm more than me", was recorded in 1998.
Living always with humbly vulnerable, open heart and sincerely in love with pure truth, in 1999, after intense meditation and meeting several spiritual masters, "he" came to realization of no-self. From then on, if not already, his life became a total sacrifice on the altar of Truth, having no personal interests and devoting himself entirely to conscious, wholistically feeling (or: transcending the world's unfelt pain), loving life in (the heart of) truth. He uses his music as one of the main means for manifesting on earth the truth that the Heart is. Music of Azar Baksh carries the realization of oneness and is in fact a gift of consciousness, a real teaching of the loving heart.
Azar Baksh works mainly solo. He composes very down to earth, wholistic, spiritual music. So far his voice(s) and (accompanying) classical guitar are the basis of the compositions, wherein sometimes also keyboard, acoustic (steel string) guitar or violin are being used. Only on "Guruguru" keyboards took over from guitar. Till present (February 2009) he recorded 8 more CDs, published with his own means, under direct management: "There's Only Truth", 2000; "Live in the Heart", 2001; "Listening Silence", 2002; "SatZang", 2002; "The Presence", 2003; "The Fiery Heart", 2004; "Guruguru", 2005; and "Pervading Background", 2007. In the summer of 2007 song "Satguru Vachoni" from "Guruguru" album was published by Music Mosaic on a compilation CD "Urban Mantra", together with artists like Deva Premal, Prem Joshua, Sacred Earth and others. This year a next CD will be completed, "Love Returns in Love".
Next to composing and recording Azar guided mantrasinging groups for several years, he gives live solo concerts and "lie-down" concerts. Azar Baksh published 2 (mainly) autobiographic books in Dutch, both about being in love: a short novel "Suzanne" in 1999 and a diary-like novel "Testament van een individu – verhaal van een ontbindende liefde" ("Testament of an individual – a story of a decomposing love") in 2005.
Few years after his realization, Azar Baksh spontaneously began to function as a spiritual heart-teacher for pupils who were attracted to him. He guides people personally, guides group- and individual (meditative) retreats, gives Satsangs and writes spiritual books of radical truth (published only on internet so far). This year a voluminous book on Man and Woman will be released.
