You'll Lose A Good Thing
Barbara Lynn Lyrics

If you should lose me
Oh yeah, you'll lose a good thing
If you should lose me
Oh yeah, you'll lose a good thing

You know I love you, do anything for you
Just don't mistreat me and I'll be good to you
'Cause if you should lose me
Oh yeah, you'll lose a good thing

I'm givin' you one more chance for you to do right
If you'll only straighten up, we'll have a good life
'Cause if you should lose me
Oh yeah, you'll lose a good thing

This is my last time, not asking any more
If you don't do right, I'm gonna march outta that door
And if you don't believe me
Just try it daddy and you'll lose a good thing

Just try it daddy and you'll lose a good thing
Just try it daddy and you'll lose a good thing
Just try it daddy and you'll lose a good thing
Just try it daddy and you'll lose a good thing

Clementine Price, what a nice tribute to YouTube and the incredible singers of that bygone era, and most importantly, to your Dear Husband. I'm sorry for your loss, that he has passed; and as I was thinking of you and he, I could suddenly imagine your arms intertwined, as you both dance to this song, getting lost in love and sweet memories...πŸ’ž

"Just try it daddy" πŸ€”..... damn!, this chick right here ain't playin' around.

"Ain't that the truth!" Paul Turnet--that particular line you quote: "Just try it, daddy"...it gets me every time!! I repeat play this song--it's soooo GOOD!! And I got a kick out of Postem Up's comment, about thinking that line was: "Just try it, Jack!!"πŸ˜… I was born in 1954, and for the longest time, when I was young, I thought Barbara was saying, "Just try that!!" Funny how sometimes--and for the longest time--we'll think a song has a certain word, and then later find out, we had it wrong; and I have to admit that's happened to me a number of times, and occasionally, still does!!πŸ˜†

Funny I was about 5 when this came out. I had an uncle named Jack. I thought she was saying ."Just try it Jack" :)

The singers from this era were just on another level.
