Mandy
Barry Manilow Lyrics
I remember all my life
Raining down as cold as ice
Shadows of a man
A face through a window
Crying in the night
The night goes into
Morning, just another day
Happy people pass my way
Looking in their eyes
I see a memory
I never realized
How happy you made me
Oh, Mandy
Well, you came and you gave without taking
But I sent you away
Oh, Mandy
Well, you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
And I need you today
Oh, Mandy
I'm standing on the edge of time
I've walked away when love was mine
Caught up in a world of uphill climbing
The tears are in my mind
And nothing is rhyming
Oh, Mandy
Well, you came and you gave without taking
But I sent you away
Oh, Mandy
Well, you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
And I need you today
Oh, Mandy
Yesterday's a dream
I face the morning
Crying on a breeze
The pain is calling
Oh, Mandy
Well, you came and you gave without taking
But I sent you away
Oh, Mandy
Well, you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
And I need you today
Oh, Mandy
You came and you gave without taking
But I sent you away
Oh, Mandy
You kissed me and stopped me from shaking
And I need you

I remember all my life
Raining down as cold as ice.
Shadows of a man,
A face through a window cryin' in the night,
The night goes into
Morning just another day;
Happy people pass my way.
Looking in their eyes,
I see a memory I never realized how happy you made me.
Oh Mandy well,
You came and you gave without taking,
But I sent you away.
Oh, Mandy well,
Kissed me and stopped me from shaking,
And I need you today.
Oh, Mandy!
I'm standing on the edge of time;
I've walked away when love was mine.
Caught up in a world of uphill climbing,
The tears are in my mind and nothin' in rhyming.
Oh Mandy well,
You came and you gave without taking,
But I sent you away.
Oh, Mandy well,
Kissed me and stopped me from shaking,
And I need you today.
Oh, Mandy!
Yesterday's a dream
I face the morning
Crying on a breeze
The pain is calling
Oh Mandy
Well, you came and you gave without taking
But I sent you away oh, Mandy
Well, you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
And I need you today Oh, Mandy
You came and you gave without taking
But I sent you away oh, Mandy
Well, you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
And I need you

I remember my youth.
Those warm summer afternoons ... Mom and Dad were there, young and handsome, sharing jokes with each other that I never understood ... And I didn't understand, because I was immersed in my own teenage thoughts ...
... It turns out that somewhere I heard this beautiful song, and I was wondering who the author was.
... As time went by I knew ...
... As I also knew that HE was part of my adolescence ...
I love you Barry Manilow. You don't know, but it's reality ...

I remember laying down on the floor of my bedroom, lost in the feeling.on my belly with an old cassette tape recorder I remember the strong desire to have that love story. I would wait seemed like forever for my favorite songs, you know there was no rewind on radios. Needless to say I was anxious for “my songs” to play on the radio. I was ready to push down play/record buttons. After all of my awkwardness of my teen years. I would bring out my cassettes and listen. Through the heart aches of those years I feel like it helped me to realize that life is great.Once I got old enough for a job I bought 45’s and albums. I started my family, three children ‘ raising them on my music. They listen to that music to this day and tell the stories that I told them. How important those songs meant to me. So now their stories carry on my feelings of my awkward years. Thank you for the Beautiful Music

My favourite song growing up was ‘ I can help’ - Billy Swan
I never sought out the song just got really happy and excited when I heard it played on the radio- BOTH songs appear to be prophetic on my life- very- interesting

My mom wanted to call me Wanda- a dr did- name me - no hope for me and a little for her- I was 56 this past June and she was 86 this past May- I have learnt to love my name- they are both- unisex just like my Father- God- He portrays both male/ female attributes thru men and women- I love it! ♥️

This is funny. My first girlfriend in Second grade was a Mandy. What on earth did I think I knew at the age of seven I have no idea. I wonder where she is now 40 years later?

@Good Vibe no Barry did not write this song another artist did and it was a hit way back and a reporter called the artist late at night one time to ask about his hit song and to get the reported off the phone si he could get some sleep he just said it was about a his dog named Mandy and the story went from there!! True story look it up yourself and you can listen to the original song also!!! Also Barry’s producer brought him this song by the other artist and Barry listened and said no way this is not me!! The producer said that’s a hit do something with it and
