1) A Toronto-based pop/rock band featuring Christopher Shannon, Nathan Vanderwielen, Lane Halley, Andrew Scott and Jay Anderson. Their debut EP, Bart By Bart, was released by Idee Fixe Records on November 4, 2014.
2) Imagine ZZ Top, Queens of the Stone Age and White Stripes drinking in a bar in Tijuana, and you've got a pretty good idea what BART sounds like. BART plays mexmetal, a brand new variety of melodic hard rock performed with large moustaches and majestic posture. Having played in Tuco's Lounge together for 5 years, it wasn't a mere coincidence when one day Jumbo Johnny and Don Pedro simultaneously sported fullgrown handlebar moustaches (BART is the norwegian word for moustache). Divine intervention? Maybe not, but still it was a sign not to be ignored. So BART was formed as a sideproject, and before long, Jumbo and Don realized they were like prosthetic twins, born by different mothers but connected by an musical umbillical cord, trancending both time and space. BART is planning to release the album "Esperanto of Cool" in spring 2007.
