He began playing drums in the 5th grade, and has studied music, photography, and animation over the course of 10 years. Aside from doing work remix work, he is the drummer for a band called the Breaks, and also plays ukulele, piano, and bass. He frequently samples these instruments within his remixes.
He has officially released three albums under the name Blackasaurus Rex, and one EP with The Breaks. He is currently working on two more albums, and another debut album with the Breaks. He is also an experimental-psychedelic solo album self-titled "The Gunz".
Blackasaurus Rex is also on the development team of Ubuntu Studio, an officially recognized derivative of the Ubuntu Linux distribution, explicitly geared towards general multimedia production. His interest in open source software has also led him to be a proponent of the Creative Commons and GNU/GPL, a license which the majority of his work is under.
