I Want Some Of Your Pie
Blind Boy Fuller Lyrics

Says, I'm not jokin' an' I'm gonna tell you no lie,
I want to eat your custy pie
You gotta give me some of it,
You gotta give me some of it,
You gotta give me some of it,
'Fore you give it all away

I'm not breakin' but you understood,
everything I do, I try to do it good
You gotta give me some of it,
You gotta give me some of it,
You gotta give me some of it,
'Fore you give it all away

Now, your custy pie is good an' nice,
when you cut it, please save me a smart
You gotta give me some of it,
You gotta give me some of it,
You gotta give me some of it,
'Fore you give it all away

Says, I don't care if you little right cross that street,
you cut that pie please save me a piece
You gotta give me some of it,
You gotta give me some of it,
You gotta give me some of it,
'Fore you give it all away

Oh, it's good for a man 83,
you know good well it good enough for me
You gotta give me some of it,
You gotta give me some of it,
You gotta give me some of it,
'Fore you give it all away

The inspiration of Led Zeppelin's "Custard Pie"

'Pie' meaning the same thing as Jelly Roll, of course.

I'm 15 and just discovered this beautiful masterpiece. I swear my physical and mental ,emotional state arent at 15 but I love how I found this so young. 🤔

Is it or did Blind Boy Fuller and Bo Carter have some dirty inuendo's in all of his songs? Look at the names of his songs. "Whats that smells like fish", "Please warm my weiner", "I want some of your pie", "Sweet honey hole", "Banana in your fruit basket", "My pencil don't write no more", and "Let me squeeze your lemon". Really?

Talk about "power trios", Bull City Red was the John Bonham of the 30's. He is the best washboard player I have heard, the guy was a machine and had endless variety, so did Blind Boy Fuller, on "Truckin' My Blues Away No. 2" Bull City Red just floors me. As for Sonny Terry, what more can be said that he doesn't already say on his harmonica. Would have been awesome to have been in the studio to witness them recording this. I love Blind Boy Fuller's entire recorded output, he was brilliant.

Maybe this is inspiration for Zepps song but I cant hear some great similarity in music.
