He is known for his unique singing style, mostly in high registers and for his charactheristic voice that gained him recognition in ex-Yugoslavian countries.
He was a lead singer in Serbian progressive rock band Smak from 1973 until 1992 (with few breaks).
In 1982 he recorded his first solo album Iz profila ("From the Profile") that featured some of the most respected musicians of that time in ex Yugoslavia, members of Smak (Radomir Mihailović - Točak, Lazar Ristovski, Slobodan Stojanović - Kepa) Yu Grupa (Miodrag Bata Kostić), Korni Grupa (Vladimir Furduj) and others.
His second album Milion godina ("Million Years") was released in 2001 under the name Boris Aranđelovic & Dinosaurusi ("The Dinosaurs") and that album was recorded with almost the same list of guest musicians as his first effort from 1982.
Boris Aranđelović also guested on keyboardist Miki Petkovski's (ex Smak and Leb i Sol ) solo album Ko zna from 1979.
