Influenced by seventies punk and eighties new wave acts like X-Ray Spex, Ramones, New York Dolls, Devo, Blondie and Transvision Vamp, Bosom’s infectious tunes are delivered like a piece of bubble-gum snapping in your face.
Banging live drums by Arch compliment his electro melodies whilst Rocky's buzzing guitar riffs bring the rock. Wiz’s vocal styles bounces from melodic pop to screaming punk to vampish suggestion as she belts out the lyrics that would not be out of place in a John Waters film.
A Bosom live show is a chaotic mash of spiky electro and driving garage/punk, which usually results in frenzied dancing, beer drinking, random pashing and the occasional firecracker lobbed at the stage.
The band recently launched their self-titled CD produced by Mitch Hertz of Salacious Crumb/Killerhertz/Salmon Hater/Bloody Kids notoriety.
The nine-track album is an entertaining collection of tunes about stealing boyfriends, partying-hard, high-school massacres, girl fights in public bathrooms and other things not discussed by polite society.
A heady mix of trash, lust, rage, absurd humour and everything that falls in between. Highlights include the radio friendly pop single "Dirty Lips", dance-punk anthem "Piece Of You", the erotic-sleaze groove of "A.O" and the absurd-thrasher "Fried Chihauhau".
Do yourself a favour and see Bosom, otherwise they may just write a song about you.
