The delicate bones of Barnard's songs are now fleshed out with the assistance of Manchester-based musicians Matt Smithson and David Boon, both a part of up and coming UK band Maupa, Bristol guitarist Scott Hazell, and the Washington D.C. area brother, Zack. The Trans-Atlantic arrangement lends a subtle air of British based suffocation to the Midwest-American themes and melodies.
The songs are rain-flecked, ethereal, and emotive; painting pictures of corn fields and endless miles of highway... shedding a different light on life in middle America while ringing true with the industrialized depression which encapsulates the music of Manchester.
