After thinking they would one day want to share the same stage with that band, they then used that day to create their first song. "This Is Not A Ticket" was born soon after. Ryan Berry, Jack Lawrence and Joe Eatherden then went on to create their first EP, ‘The Juggernaut Project’. The low budget production of this demo/EP meant that it could be given away for free at CTRL’s gigs.
Because the trio were keen to use a lot of live instruments to create their sound, they soon realised another member was needed. Matthew Salt then became the lead singer/front man. Since then, the sound of the group has progressed into the energetic live electro-rock sound you hear today. CTRL became a four-piece and were able to use the extra percussion required to sound like their influences which include “Health” and “Liars” as well as keeping their original electro indebted sound.
Playing at house parties soon became a favourite for CTRL, but they were then introduced to slightly larger venues.
CTRL have now completed their 2010 EP.
