1. In the summer of 1998, longtime friends and bandmates William Seidel, Ryan Weber and Brian Zimmerman met with Eric Osterman and founded the Milwaukee band Camden. Soon after forming, Camden recorded their first EP with Chris Rosenau (Pele, Collections of Colonies of Bees, Telecognac, and Lumis) in the spring of 1999 and began touring in support of their self-titled EP with bands such as Pele, The Gloria Record and Antarctica.
Soon afterwards, the band recorded a follow-up EP called Fall In An Overcoat in the fall, and completed several US tours that year. In December of 1999, they recorded the very well received Reel Time Canvas (released on Grand Theft Autumn) with Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie). Throughout the year 2000, Camden continuously toured with Death Cab For Cutie and then The Promise Ring while headlining a few tours of their own.
After recording 4 of the 6 tracks that were to become part of Pieces of Places with Chris Walla in Seattle, Camden suffered a few setbacks- Eric fell in love with a girl he met on the road and quit the band to marry her. The 6 tracks that Camden had recorded before the break-up sat for almost a year before Ed Menacho, Chris Strong and Joe Wigdahl were prompted to form Brilliante Records in order to release the EP and give it the attention they thought that it deserved.
Camden is no longer a functioning band, however, you can still hear William Seidel & Ryan Weber with their later creations: Decibully & New Sense.
2. Camden is a Belgian band founded on the ashes of Ashbury Faith by the famous flemish bassist Axl Peleman, together with Michael Schack on drums and Mario Pesic on guitar.
Their first album was recorded in 2001 and contains songs such as "Black Paper, Black Ink" and "Snapshot". They have since released 2 more albums.
Axl Peeleman is also a regular on Belgian TV and can be seen as the basist of the Kreuners, replacing Berre Bergen on their 30th anniversary tour.
3. Solo project from one of the members of Daughters of the Sun, Cole Weiland. Under his moniker, Camden, he creates synth-heavy music (and more, d'oh). First release, Life of Devotion, on Moon Glyph in 2010.
