Blue Eyes
Cary Brothers Lyrics
Wish enough, wise man'll tell you a lie
Window broke, torn up screens
Who'd have thought that you'd dream
Of a single tragic scene
I just want to sing a song with you
I just want to take it off of you
'Cause Blue Eyes
You are all that I need
'Cause Blue Eyes
You're the sweet to my mean
Fess it up, dot on the palm of your hand
I can help you to stand
Saved it up for this dance
Tell me all the things you can
I just want to sing a song with you
I just want to be the one that's true
'Cause Blue Eyes
You're the secret I keep
'Cause Blue Eyes
All the lights on and you are alive
But you can't point the way to your heart
So sublime, when the stars are aligned
But you don't know
You don't know the greatness you are
'Cause Blue Eyes
You are destiny's scene
'Cause Blue Eyes
I just want to be the one
I just want to sing a song with you
I just want to get it on with you
'Cause Blue Eyes
You're the secret I keep
'Cause Blue Eyes
I just want to sing a song with you
I just want to sing a song with you
I just want to sing a song with you

My mom had alzheimers, I took care of her for years. In the last couple of years she responded greatly to music. She had clear blue eyes, I would play and sing this song to her in the mornings and she would wake with such a big smile! I miss her so. RIP my blue eyes, 10/02/17, until we meet again. <3 <3

I work in Alzheimer’s disease care and research. People will forget specific events, but they will not forget the way you made them feel. You did your mom a great service being the caregiver you were.

May she be in the highest levels of paradise my dear ...

As a caregiver... Music that speaks of Love radiates love throughout the entire body and Alzheimer's patients live their lives now in 1 to 5-minute segments that they forget in an instant. Making them laugh is the most fun you can have with them.

14 years later, a grown 27 year old man, and this song still hits me right in the feels like it did in high school.

Watching Elliot and Molly just chilling in a bar, listening to some guy singing such a melancholic and beautiful song... made me long so much for a friend, too. I used to have a bff I used to hang out with all the time. We were freshmen college students, we were young, we did stupid stuff, and we were tight as fuck. We were inseparable. And she made me listen to really chill music, the ones you vibe to while you're just out smoking and having deep conversations. She doesn't have blue eyes, but this is the kind of song I know she would have loved to hear. Things change, time changed us. From inseparable besties to... Just strangers. I miss her so much.
