His strengths are composition, melody, vocals, synth programming, and sound synthesis. Although his first love is electronic music, he has an appreciation and a desire to collaborate and combine with old and new styles alike. Randy uses an array of monikers to express differing aspects of creativity. Wreckless Abandon is a blend of rock, pop, industrial, and electronic grooves. Citizen Abstract is currently his alias for IDM, breaks, and other dance oriented genres.
Randy began learning piano at an early age of 8 years old. Frustrated with his slow and redundant piano lessons, he found he could much more easily play the songs he enjoyed by ear. By 12 years old, Randy was already creating his own original freeform melodies and songs. With his first job he purchased his first synth, a Casio sampling keyboard which was extremely limiting. Randy purchased his first professional synth several years later, which allowed him much more creativity and freedom.
Randy started writing and performing club music shortly thereafter. From there, his music progressed and he soon formed Divine Rhythm - a downtempo band with partner Lydia Goossens. Their music was released on a compilation from N-Soul Records and was featured in genre-specific magazines such as HM and Young Salvationist as being the best in the lineup. Divine Rhythm went through a transition period when the band moved to Colorado, then to California. Divine Rhythm finally dissolved in 2002.
Out of this transition, Randy began writing harder, more rock oriented material that was better suited for his own original vocal style. He formed Wreckless Abandon and started performing at shows in Los Angeles. Randy sold several homemade releases at these shows, and was complimented by fans and friends alike on the originality and strong performance.
Randy released his debut CD as Wreckless Abandon (as of May 2009), and has had success on Indabamusic.com placing 5th in popular votes for the Colbert Remix Challenge, and 8th in popular votes for the PBS The Music Instinct: Science & Song contest.
Randy has currently returned to his strong roots in EDM. His 'Points' EP was released on Aenaria Recordings in February 2011, along with a string of independent releases from Wreckless Music. Current productions are heavy on deep, progressive tech house and techno. He is currently also producing tracks with DJ turned producer, Bryan Scott (aka Unit-E) as Klick. They have a track recently picked up by Woody McBride's Communique label, as well as a 2 song EP on Electroprod Digital Label. As of August 2011, Randy has just had another 2 releases picked up by Luca Ricci at Aenaria. Stay tuned...

Colby Lyrics
monochrome Tell me would it hurt you less If I told you…
Moving on You’re moving on, baby please You and I, it’s all I…
No Love I swear, I swear, you can't get it over me Don't…
So I Thought I’d love to find Some peace of mind Oh could you bring This…
Switching Sides When I was just a little kid my dad would…
Under My Nose First kiss, when I touched your lips I admit I…
Under My Nose-RuffMix First kiss, when I touched your lips I admit I…
Waves Let the waves do the talking Let it flow Let…
what you got I peeped you on the phone Just showin' off ya stones And…
