Buckethead
Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains Lyrics

He didn't like to jostle in the light
Finding it much soother in the night
With his face as pale as pancakes
And his posture in rebellion with his height

He was raised to respect Father he was loving to his Ma
Being kind to all the children and the animals he saw
In his youth he looked at Jacko with gleaming admiration
Moonwalking through the gardens of his Disneyland Vacation

Then he took a pallid mask and he glued it to his face
And it gave him the temerity to join the human race
He stood like great Ulysses with guitar in his hand
Pledging to deflate the cynical that plague the glory land

Buckethead

And the people came to know him as a man of noble cause
Ignoring eccentricities and interactive flaws
The ones that knew him best were the ones that
called him kind
Clueless to the depth of his complicated mind

But when he takes a pallid mask and he glues it to his face
It gives him the temerity to join the human race
Standing up like great Ulysses with
guitar in his hand
Pledging to deflate the cynical
that plague the glory land

Buckethead

i've heard thousands of guitar solos in my life. and honestly, this is the single greatest in sheer complexity and true feel that ive ever heard. best guitar solo ever.

Engin king's-moving at Bob Brown's bar

complexity? its a typical solo, well played ofc, but poorly original

Chris Keck

And it's on a song about him. So epic

Man, that keyboard solo is the ultimate dance commander ...

this song struck me right away, when I realised it was an actual factual ode to Buckethead that he even plays in, shredding one of the best guitar solo's I've heard, mixed with an Epic (in every sense of the word) introduction and organ that just makes it all surreal and unearthly....it simply is perfect as a tribute to what is agruably an unearthly guitar player, possibly an alien that came to share with our race his exemplary skills with the axe

classic Claypool with the weirdness of the song and lyrics. but that bass is kick ass for sure. buckethead always kills the solo

How often do you get to hear lyrics like "it gave him the temerity to join the human race", fuck I love Les Claypool

M. Rhodes

Les Claypool has this knack of bring the best musicianship outta people.
