Brimful Of Asha
Cornershop Lyrics
There's dancing
Behind movie scenes
Behind the movie scenes
Sadi Rani
She's the one that keeps the dream alive
From the morning
Past the evening
To the end of the light
Brimful of Asha on the 45
Well it's a brimful of Asha on the 45
And dancing
Behind movie scenes
Behind those movie scenes
Asha Bhosle
She's the one that keeps the dream alive
From the morning
Past the evening
To the end of the light
Brimful of Asha on the 45
Well it's a brimful of Asha on the 45
And singing
Illuminate thee main streets
And the cinema aisles
We don't care bout no
Gov't warnings,
'bout their promotion of a simple life
And the dams they're building
Brimful of Asha on the 45
Well it's a brimful of Asha on the 45
Everybody needs a bosom for a pillow
Everybody needs a bosom
Mine's on the 45

Haven't heard this in a while, unexpectedly brought tears to my eyes and the smell of CK One to my mind. 1997, but feels like yesterday and a million years ago all at once for me the second this song started. That was a rough time in my life, but I knew some great people. Really something how much life can completely change in not even 20 years. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time for just a day to take pictures. Memories fade, but songs like this bring them back like nothing else.

@BadAndy34 There was other good songs but I do not know if you think they were better than "Brimful of Asha" This was a 90s jam that I thought was underrated

I never heard the record. Was this the best song on the album or was there a better one? I love this song.

I woke up at 3am with this song in my head after listening to this in my childhood 16 years ago. I googled one line of lyrics, and here I am. Who else loves the internet?

This song is based upon the history of film culture in India. Since their introduction, Indian films have relied heavily on song-and-dance numbers. Almost always, the singing was performed by background singers while the actors and actresses lip-sync. Asha Bhosle is one of these playback singers who has sung over 12,000 songs. Playback singers Lata Mangeshkar (her older sibling) and Mohammad Rafi (one of the top male playback singers of the mid-century) are also mentioned in the song-Wikipedia
