Strongly influenced by the artists of Ultimae and the older Berlin School, Jeremy's style shifted from Introspective's ambient to an unapologetically electronic "pad and pluck", prompting a change in identity. His entire music studio was also stolen during the transition, forcing a change in both workflow and tools. The new identity also marks a new, more professional approach to writing music.
Jeremy divides his time between New Mexico and Cape Cod, Massachusetts: high desert and ocean. He is one of the developers working on The Encyclopedia of Life. He maintains a weblog at curiousinversions.blogspot.com, where he struggles with his gear-lust and muses about free electronic music in a time when the record industry is suing its customers.
As of mid-2009, Curious Inversions' music is composed using Ableton Live and a short list of software synthesizers (Stylus, Atmosphere, Albino, Predator, Surge, and Massive). Curious Inversions' releases are all available for free download at various venues across the internet, and are always released with the least restrictive licensing available (usually Creative Commons Attribution). Mixes, alterations, and derivations of Curious Inversions' music are not only allowed, but strongly encouraged by the artist.
