He grew up listening to music because it is interest. DJ Mopapa started school in Bakang Primary and then he went to Gaenthone secondary to complete his matric. He developed a relationship with house music when he was at grade 10 in 2005. He finished matric in 2007 and he enrolled at the University of North West(Mafikeng Campus) in 2008. He then started to compose his own music at the age of 19, using those music production softwares like Magic music maker and Fruity Loops. He then started to make people dance at tarvens and clubs in 2011 when he decided to be a DJ. Being a DJ made him to improve his music creativity.
DJ Mopapa started DJing at Varenda Inn tarven at his township with Mr DIDA, MAVUSANA 3, VINTAGE, SPARE, BENNY and others, then he moved to Berens Tarven in Mafikeng where he became a resident DJ. In 2012 he then moved back to his kassy Tips(that's the way he calls it) where he met with DJ Hunter, SAMMY, and BUJO, who were the resident DJs at Mashome Club48. He then played in few bashes that were held at his township which one of them was Batle Of The DJs.
In February 2013, DJ Mopapa had an interview at STAR FM community radio station in Klerksdorp where he was publishing and promoting his works as a producer/composer. He then came back to Mafikeng and became a resident DJ at Ekhaya Lounge bar owned by the Maftown Legend DJ KT(Katlego Tobosi).
DJ Mopapa, as the fans and crowds knows him, he then met with Uncle-T(also ekhaya resident) and they both worked out to make a hit track called "Piano In Lounge" at Oktive record company owned by DJ KT.
DJ Mopapa shared stage with the likes of DJ KT, FLAVA, UNCLE-T, HUNTER, BABY-G, SOULFUL APOLOS, SAMMY BOY, SPARE, QUINTON P, VINTAGE, MBAX, BENNY T, ELMATHMETICS, STATIC DJ, and others.His mixtapes played at NWUFM Campus radio 105.5 and NWFM. He's currently busy making an EP which consist of only 5 deep soul house tracks.
