Dave got his first taste of the limelight at the age of 10, when he appeared on stage with Libba Cotton ("Freight Train") at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
Dave Nachmanoff's repertoire falls comfortably within the modern American folk tradition, with subtle lyrics that delve into themes that resonate with the "common man" such as family, food, relationships, love and longing. Occasionally though, Dave's PhD in Philosophy sometimes wanders into his lyrics as in "Descartes in Amsterdam"
Besides Al Stewart, he’s shared the stage with Cheryl Wheeler, Steve Forbert, The Pogues, America, Alison Krause and many more. He frequently appears in song-writing workshops and house-concerts.
