I Think I Love You
David Cassidy The Partridge Family Lyrics

I was sleeping and right in the middle of a good dream
Like all at once I wake up from something that keeps knocking at my brain
Before I go insane I hold my pillow to my head
And spring up in my bed screaming out the words I dread
I think I love you (I think I love you)

This morning I woke up with this feeling
I didn't know how to deal with and so I just decided to myself
I'd hide it to myself and never talk about it
And did not go and shout it when you walked into the room
I think I love you (I think I love you)

I think I love you so what am I so afraid of
I'm afraid that I'm not sure of a love there is no cure for

I think I love you isn't that what life is made of
Though it worries me to say that I never felt this way

I don't know what I'm up against
I don't know what it's all about
I got so much to think about

Hey, I think I love you so what am I so afraid of
I'm afraid that I'm not sure of a love there is no cure for

I think I love you isn't that what life is made of
Though it worries me to say I never felt this way

Believe me you really don't have to worry
I only wanna make you happy and if you say "hey go away" I will
But I think better still I'd better stay around and love you
Do you think I have a case let me ask you to your face
Do you think you love me?

I think I love you
I think I love you
I think I love you
I think I love you
I think I love you
I think I love you
I think I love you
I think I love you

Does anybody realize that David Cassidy had a great voice and was an incredible talent? What a great person.

Amanda Owens

Didn't he go on singing in real life?

I met David in 1971 the night before a concert he was giving at Monticello Raceway in New York. It was raining and he was the only other person sitting at the concession stand. He was wearing a suede floppy hat and sunglasses apparently an attempt to disguise himself. Me being a young teenage girl, I recognized that look that he was thinking Oh no here we go again. I told him not to worry, I wasn’t going to bother him and that I had problems of my own. (My mom and I had just gotten into a fight). He genuinely seemed to care and we just started chatting. I told him that I was attending his concert the following afternoon and he asked me what I was going to be wearing so he could pick me out of the crowd and dedicate a song to me, which he did. Terribly saddened over his death.

What an incredible experience and memory....

Nic story 😁 Heard many like it, seemed like genuine guy. No attitudes or kiss my butt crap.

David was also very talented and worked hard at his craft. Which makes him more attractive. He is missed by many.

It's neat seeing Shirley Jones and David Cassidy singing together! Brings me back to a time when things were good and not so screwed up!

@Kevin Douglas She was such luxury casting every time she opened her mouth, whether to smile, to speak or to sing. The only reason she didn't have a major operatic career was that Rodgers and Hammerstein snapped her up first.

Yep… that show is from a corny(er) time … but corn me up and send me back.
