Following is a biography from the website:
The Day Action Band is made up of Matt O'Keefe and Nate O'Keefe and they are brothers. Doug Buchacek used to be in the band but then he joined the Peace Corps and was in Russia. He came back and moved to Chicago and then to Nashville, before finally returning to Chapel Hill not long ago. We may hear more from him in the future. Denny Hehman has also done some invaluable work for the band and he's welcome to come back too if he gets his shit sorted out back in Delaware. They're both really nice guys and great musicians too.
The band was started by Matt, Nate and Doug in 1999. They recorded 11 songs together over the course of about a year, and then reconvened to record again in the summer of 2001. Then Doug joined the Peace Corps (see above) and Matt and Nate recorded more songs in 2002 with hardly any drums. Then Denny came down in 2003 and recorded a bunch of drum tracks that were turned into whole songs in 2004 and are now mellowing in oak barrels.
