The five youngsters joined forces in 2006 and released the A Dozen Dreams EP. After this, a time of intensive touring followed: in the first year 70 shows were played in the Netherlands, England, Wales, Germany, France and Belgium. Also, the band was the support act for bands like New Found Glory and Fall Out Boy. The large amount of shows rapidly resulted in a steady fanbase.
Destine have launched its own online TV-platform Destine.tv where people can follow the band’s every move. Meanwhile, the band appeared on national TV and radio, including the song Last Scene Of A Plane Crash being used for a commercial on TV station Comedy Central.
In April 2008, Destine signed a development deal with major label Sony. The debut album and single are planned to be released in 2009.

In Your Arms
Destine Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The city lights don't comfort me at all
Show me, can you recall
What got me climbing up the walls
I'm out of patience
I'm still waiting on
A brand new break of dawn
Whoa, now we're going underground,
And my hands are shaking
Whoa, I can't believe we're going down
I can hear the sirens sound, from way too far
And I'm dying in your arms
In your arms
If only my thoughts were real
I could go back, but time is standing still
In this scene the frames show
I'm losing track and wait,
'Till there's no heartbeat left,
To take me back to
To take me back to you
Whoa, now we're going underground,
And my hands are shaking
Whoa, I can't believe we're going down
I can hear the sirens sound, from way too far
And I'm dying in your arms
In your arms
If only I could ever,
Change what's been done
Make it last forever,
Oh, it keeps me warm
I know that I could never
Stay in your arms
Whoa, now we're going underground,
And my hands are shaking
Whoa, I can't believe we're going down
I can hear the sirens sound
Whoa, now we're going underground,
And my hands are shaking
Whoa, I can't believe we're going down
I can hear the sirens sound, from way too far
And I'm dying in your arms
In your arms
I'm dying in your arms
I'm dying in your arms
The song "In Your Arms" by Destine is a powerful track that explores the theme of loss, regret, and longing. The opening lines "Slowly, I take the fall, the city lights don't comfort me at all" sets the contemplative tone of the song. The singer is struggling with something and is seeking comfort in someone's arms. The lyrics suggest a sense of desperation, as if the singer is holding on to someone for dear life.
The chorus "Whoa, now we're going underground, and my hands are shaking, whoa, I can't believe we're going down, I can hear the sirens sound, from way too far, and I'm dying in your arms, in your arms" suggests a sense of danger and urgency. The singer feels like they are in some sort of peril and the only solace they can find is in the arms of the person they are singing about. The repetition of "in your arms" emphasizes the importance of this person to the singer.
The final verse "If only I could ever change what's been done, make it last forever, oh, it keeps me warm, I know that I could never stay in your arms" suggests that the singer is looking back at a past mistake and wishing they could go back and change it. They long for a future where they can be with the person they are singing about forever, but they realize that they can never stay in their arms.
Overall, "In Your Arms" is a powerful song that explores themes of love, loss, and regret. The lyrics are honest and raw, and the music complements them perfectly.
