She and Her Darkness
Diary of Dreams Lyrics

My heart weights minimum a tone
An army's feet pounding on my head
Maybe I'll wake up one day to notice
That all my life was just a dream

And maybe I'll be better off without you
You left me here with all my thoughts
I'd write a zillion words or walk a million miles
I'd sleep on broken glass just not to lose your smiles

I travel for you around the world
Collecting moments, oh how absurd
To bring you beauty, to bring you joy
I wish I'd be a little boy

Where is that silence you primised me?
Why is that distance so close to me?
Why is your violence still hurting me?
Why are your eyes avoiding me?

Let me say thank you for all that you have given me
Thank you for everything you've done
Forgive me for saying one last thing
I miss you and I hope you hear this song

I travel for you around the world
Collecting moments, o how absurd
To bring you beauty, to bring you joy
I wish I'd be a little boy

I'm dying for you, can't you see?
I'm lying for you to be free
I hunger for you, 'cause I can't eat
I'd vanish for you in defeat

There are a lot of ways this 'story' can be interpreted, so here's my interpretation:
First, the imagery that we see.
Basket: Her heart
Apple: Her kindness/goodness
Rotten apples: Her despair

A girl picks up an empty basket with a smile

Parts with the boy, both have a smile on their face. The girl looks to be happy, while the guy seems to have an empty smile. The girl turns to walk away first, the boy looks at her with s sad smile, before walking away as well.

She is sitting on an empty street with a basket full of apples.
She is sitting with her heart full of kindness, however she is alone.

A man turns the corner, he is visibly unhappy. The girl approached him and hands him and apple with a warm smile on her face, only to see the apple be rotten. In shock, she drops it on the man, dirtying his shirt. She sees all her apples are rotten.

The man corners her, and hurts her.

She sees an unhappy man, she picks up an apple and hands it to him, trying to give him some happiness. She didn't see that the happiness was placebo, her despair was hiding behind the happiness she thought she had to offer. She stains the man with despair, causing him to get angry and take it out on her. The man can be anyone, a stranger, a lover, or even family.

The apples are now fallen all around her as she sits on the road. She gets up to pick them all up, they are still rotten. She drops one, then throws down all the apples.
She tries tries to cling to what she thought was her happiness, but she realizes it was futile and throws it all away.

She falls to the ground and begins to cry dark blue tears.
The dark blue tears are her despair.

The boy is on the ground, fallen. Her tears reach him

He gets up and walks to the source of tears, her. He is entranced by her(tears) and drinks them until they are dry. The girl finds solace in this.
He is thirsty, he quenches his thirst off her tears, he feeds off of her despair to sate himself. In the process, inadvertently making her feel better.

She cries again, light blue tears, he holds her hand and comforts her
These tears could be tears of relief. However, he doesn't drink them because it cannot satisfy his thirst for despair.

She is sitting in a crowded area, with a basket full of red apples. stands up and walks with the crowd.

Let's go back to the beginning, which i think happens after this last scene.

A girl picks up an empty basket with a smile
Her heart was emptied, and she's getting ready to fill it again.

Parts with the boy, both have a smile on their face. The girl looks to be happy, while the guy seems to have an empty smile. The girl turns to walk away first, the boy looks at her with s sad smile, before walking away as well.
The guy is feeling somewhat guilty while the girl is oblivious. He was using her for his selfish desires.

Now back to the end
She is sitting in a crowded area, with a basket full of red apples. stands up and walks with the crowd.
She is again trying to spread her kindness, but at a greater scale. She looks at the surface of her apples happily, but they could easily be hiding their despair filled rotten insides.

This time, her despair is going to be even greater.

She is stuck in a cycle of despair and oblivion. Again and again facing the same path.

...well, this is just my opinion... but it made most sense to me...

okay. My interpretation of this video (because there's barely any English comments)
the girl was a caring and gentle person. She wanted to help people and did so the best she could, but the world is a dark place and she found this out by the people around her being cruel in reaction to her kindness.
After realizing that the world is a dark horrible place she broke. the dark blue tears represent the darkness she sees, and she spreads that because shes given up on any good in the world. when the boy meets her he noticed she's broken and helps her clear away the darkness (the dark blue tears) so that she can see the good in the world again. the second time she cries its regular tears because this time she's crying because she regrets letting such darkness consume her.

Well, spellchecking might've helped, but you got it right otherwise.
