Morris and Ralph Vaughan Williams at the Royal College of Music, and won a scholarship to study with Egon Wellesz in Vienna. Her small output, of works which show remarkable clarity and musical integrity, includes a Fantasy Quartet, Three Songs for tenor and string quartet, a Prelude and Fugue for orchestra and a String Quartet in One Movement (1934), her best-known work. She had close associations with the Macnaghten Concerts, at which several pieces of hers were performed, and came to be admired and held in great affection by many leading musical figures.
