Ironically titled due to the lack of French in any of his songs, Jesudason uses “En Français, S’il Vous Plaît” as a means of expressing his frustrations about the other band members by taking on all of their roles, seemingly simultaneously! Being born in the South-East of England, he ignored the more obvious influences of Myleene Klass and The Darkness in preference to independent artists from the trans-atlantic former colony - Canada - including Wolf Parade, and Arcade Fire. His style has concisely been described as a blend of "pianopop, pagancore, ballad, epic and straight-up indie". When asked in an interview what he had to say about the state of British music, he reportedly said: ‘God Bless Bloc Party.’, a claim he later refuted. This claim was later affirmed and then consequently refuted once again. On October 17th 2011 En Français, S’il Vous Plaît launched a scathing (supposedly pre-planned) attack on The Kaiser Chiefs statng they killed the thriving British indie scene, jumped on the bandwagon for a cheap buck and they had done it all for the money. The Kaiser Chiefs replied saying that seemed hypocritical to which subsequently En Français, S’il Vous Plaît posed the question: "Do you even know what that means?". As of yet, the Kaiser Chiefs have not publicly replied to these claims.
