When she was only six years old, Eva Lopez started approaching both singing… Read Full Bio ↴When she was only six years old, Eva Lopez started approaching both singing and dancing in Avignon; later on she attended at the Modern Jazz School in Montpellier and at some stages at the lyric Music in Bèzier; at the same time she took part as chorus-singer in very well known orchestras like “Le grand orchestre de René Cerdan” in Montpellier (actually he is Marcel Cerdan's son).
Eva than went to India to attend at some music and singing courses at Ravi Shankar School.
After having passed the admission casting to Pierre Malar singing school, she finally decided to stay in Paris. It is Pierre Malar himself who recognized in Eva's voice and interpretation, the distinctive features of the great artist who had launched him some years earlier: Edith Piaf!
Just fascinated by her voice, Pierre Malar proposed to Eva to sing a song written by himself in homage to the unforgettable Piaf.
Eva Lopez decided to go to India once again where she would perform a series of concerts.
Besides ,she went to Mexico in a tour of “La chanson Francaise” and “Classic Spanish Songs” repertoire.
In 2oo5 Eva was invited by the Embassy of France in Rome to sing La Marseillaise
on the occasion of the ceremony of the 14th of July.
On the same date she had been contacted both by the “Consulat de France” and “L'Institut Français” de Florence to give a concert in Florence itself.
Since than she has definitely become the Ambassador of the Chanson Francaise
in Italy!
In March 2008, Eva was invited by the Embassy of France in Kosovo to sing in Pristina on the occasion of “La semaine de la Francophonie”.
Later on, in December 2008, on the occasion of the “38th European Day”, Eva Lopez received an “European Personality Prize” at the Capitol in Rome.
In 2008 Mrs. Lopez recorded a C.D. Of Music and Poetry together with the Italian actor Vincenzo Bocciarelli entitled “Je t'aime”.
Besides she started collaborating with the poet Beppe Costa to put on a show called
“Ho ancora voglia di sognare”where his intense and evocative poetry deals with the great tradition of “La chanson française” completely revisited by Eva Lopez herself.
Nowadays Eva Lopez keeps on giving many concerts as interpreter of songs by Edith Piaf, Barbara, Jacques Brel, Gilbert Becauld, Leo Ferré as well as her own inedited songs.
In September 2009 it will be in Washington D.C. that Eva Lopez and her musicians will be welcomed at the “Maison Française” and at the “Kennedy Center” to perform her next concert.....
