Cheek To Cheek
by Fred Astaire

Heaven, I'm in heaven
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
And I seem to find the happiness I seek
When we're out together dancing, cheek to cheek

Heaven, I'm in heaven
And the cares that hung around me through the week
Seem to vanish like a gambler's lucky streak
When we're out together dancing, cheek to cheek

Oh! I love to climb a mountain
And to reach the highest peak
But it doesn't thrill me half as much
As dancing cheek to cheek

Oh! I love to go out fishing
In a river or a creek
But I don't enjoy it half as much
As dancing cheek to cheek

Dance with me
I want my arm about you
The charm about you
Will carry me through to heaven

I'm in heaven
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
And I seem to find the happiness I seek
When we're out together dancing cheek to cheek

Don't worry, crying to John Coffey's death doesn't make you less a man, it makes you more human.

Depression era Hollywood is the best. Everything is made for people who desperately need top quality uplifting entertainment.

@Pickle eater4000 The system was very, very hard on some stars, like Judy Garland, absolutely.
Her life was a tragedy.
But there were huge spectacular productions because producers and directors were trying to employ as many actors, dancers, set producers, carpenters, seamstresses, etc as possible, dispensing their huge budgets down to starving working people. James Whale kept whole families fed and clothed this way.
It was a trickle down effort that actually worked....
And the quality, encouraging escapism they produced got America through a global depression and got us through wwII.
The stars worked relentlessly selling war bonds and entertaining the troops.
The end result was the greatest period of global influence, wealth and economic power America ever saw.
So. I dont know man.
You believe what you want, I guess?

Yes and it was also used to make people passive, we are in a depression because of these movies and the ideology of idolizing and praising Hollywood, it’s fake all of it, beautifully feeding a greedy fire Judy garland was worked to death by these people, they want to entertain us and make us lazy. To not fight the elites that genuinely do run this country and their money that funds this mind control

And it hits the spot for me as coronavirus shutdown escapism (May 2020).

melissa saint

Oh wow, youtube didnt show me any of your comments until just now.
I hope all of you are safe and well (and maybe being distracted by some high Hollywood escapism in quarantine)

melissa saint sounds like we need now. I’m into heavy metal but a lover of great music. My favorite song is dream a little dream of me by Doris day mama cass did a great job of the song but Doris day nailed it. I’m 47 so it’s old school to me but I love it.
