GAWD has a strong affinity for the numbers 6512, which refer to the date his mother passed away, June 5th, 2012. A few days later, GAWD began producing beats and rapping. Since then his output has been prolific and he has released dozens of mixtapes and beat packs.
His music has a playful quality and whimsical air, often rapping about his love for smoking blunts, eating beans, and geese (and he claims 90% of his lyrics are free-styled). He often features himself as the featured artist, he jokes that he lives in Iceland and has more AKA’s than you can shake a stick at, including TRICK RACER, BLACK JOHN STOCKTON, LIL COOCHIE BURP, and YUNG DISHWASHER. This nonchalant attitude extends beyond his titles and lyrics though: his production contains blown-out bass and archaic synths. GAWD’s whole aesthetic becomes formally linked and his humor becomes the vehicle for his art.
2019 has GAWD’s narcissistic death, a much more somber toned release where GAWD ponders themes of death and suicide. One of his most notable collaborations, however, has been with WiFiGawd on the 2020 release Hot as Hell.
