Hey Jealousy
Gin Blossoms Lyrics

Well, tell me do you think it'd be all right
If I could just crash here tonight?
You can see I'm in no shape for driving
And anyway, I've got no place to go
And you know it might not be that bad
You were the best I'd ever had
If I hadn't blown the whole thing years ago
I might not be alone

Tomorrow we can drive around this town
And let the cops chase us around
The past is gone but something might be found
To take its place
Hey jealousy, hey jealousy
Hey jealousy, hey jealousy

You can trust me not to think
And not to sleep around
And if you don't expect too much from me
You might not be let down

'Cause all I really want is to be with you
Feeling like I matter too
If I hadn't blown the whole thing years ago
I might be here with you

Tomorrow we can drive around this town
And let the cops chase us around
The past is gone but something might be found
To take its place, hey jealousy

Tomorrow we can drive around this town
And let the cops chase us around
The past is gone but something might be found
To take its place
Hey jealousy, hey jealousy
Hey jealousy, hey jealousy

Well, tell me, do you think it'd be all right
If I could just crash here tonight?
You can see I'm in no shape for driving
And anyway I've got no place to go
And you know it might not be that bad
You were the best I'd ever had
If I hadn't blown the whole thing years ago
I might not be alone

Tomorrow we can drive around this town
And let the cops chase us around
The past is gone but something might be found
To take its place, hey jealousy

Hey jealousy, she took my heart
Well, there's only one thing I couldn't start

There are certain 90’s songs that give me an overwhelmingly painful and bittersweet sense of nostalgia. This is definitely one of them.

It damn sure is.

@RFeeOC you can say that again. I can't stand today's "woke" culture.

RFeeOC

Painful that we can’t go back to times before “woke” ruined the country. 80’s and 90’s and earlier were pretty great.

Takes me back to those hot summer days hanging around playing street hockey with my friends . No cell phones , no stress, no complexities. Just living , RIP 90s 😪

You probably missed the goal; WIDE RIGHT!!!

I don't care what anyone says, growing up in the 90s was truly the best thing ever. Just enough tech to be fun, but not enough to keep us inside. God I miss being 12 running around all summer singing songs that made no sense at the time.

Free Speech: Actually having cellphones is good to prevent “the cops from chasing you around” and the music industry was a closed loop that pretended to be an open loop in the 90s but the relationships and experiences I made in the 90s weren’t half bad
