Baby Blue
Head Control System Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Answer, burn, (?)
Shackles or face down underground
Your breath brakes (?)
Open your mouth and swallow (?)

And the beauty,
Party,
Baby,

Party,

Beauty,
Death

Blue-spotted baby
Become, be gone
Baby body blue
Become, be gone

Open the
Crazy colors cherish children, nothing
Personal, psychotic ghetto home
With everything you could ever wish for

Anything you'd ever want
Broken down

The beauty,
Party,
Baby, boo

Party,
Beauty,
Blood

Blue-spotted baby
Become, be gone
View TV, consume

Before the sun
The big black circle in the sky open cold
Nobody knows
Oh, no color in and there ain't no movement (?)

No color
No movement
No baby
Nothing

There's no way out
It's all the same
Crime and punishment
Sin or nature, it begins and it ends

Please, hear me
Or tear me
From the world
Smashed to pieces
And bits
And we pay

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Head Control System's song Baby Blue are quite abstract, but can be interpreted as a commentary on the bleakness of the world we live in, the dangers of consumerism, and the ultimate futility of existence. The opening lines, "Answer, burn, shackles, or face down underground" suggest a sense of hopelessness and helplessness in the face of an oppressive system. The following lines, "Your breath brakes, open your mouth and swallow" seem to be a call to action, possibly suggesting that the only way to survive in this world is to submit to it and embrace its darkness.

The chorus, "Party, beauty, baby, blood," seems to suggest that the party and beauty that we pursue in life ultimately leads to death and bloodshed. The "blue-spotted baby" could be a symbol for innocence and purity, which is lost amidst the chaos and darkness of the world. The lines "Before the sun, the big black circle in the sky open cold, nobody knows" hint at the bleak and uncertain future that we face as a society. The final lines of the song, "Please hear me or tear me from the world, smashed to pieces and bits, and we pay," seem to suggest a plea for help, a desire to be rescued from this hopeless existence, and an admission that we ultimately pay the price for our choices.
