Their music genre has been classified as hard rock or even alternative however the sound had a combination of various genres and that's what seperated their sound from the other local bands in the scene. The music was written in contribution of various members, both past & present and alot of personal experiences were all a part of the writing to create such melodic tunes like Helen Marie & CUNexTuesday. In 2008 Hextrip made some changes and collaborated to write a very creative mystery like song titled: Kushtaka (Native American for Sasquatch). The writing process for this song was a long road, it was their goal to write a song that if the listener were to close their eyes while listening, they could actually feel or see the perception of the Kushtaka. The lyrics were deep and worked in conjunction of the hard hitting changes, not to mention the actual 911 phone call that is used in the song. The work behind this song made them realize music is for life. Late 2009 Hextrip disbanded but are still very close friends.
Recent: April 2010 Hextrip reunited for a benefit concert in Arlington, WA. No plans or updates have been made since.
