Sonically the band offer seductive guitar lines and hip bass parts that will groove you to the core, all driven by an avalanche of drums. The songs are fresh with a dark undercurrent and the overall sound is slick and melodic with lyrics that defy the age of the songwritters.
Performance wise, Himalayas put on an energetic, jaw dropping show. Their rapport and banter with their audience will make you feel like you've known them for years and you are guaranteed to go away huming their tunes and wanting more.
Himalayas debut EP - Ecstasy was released by Peepshow Records in August 2016 and recieved a positive reaction from fans and critics.
The first track Cheap Thrills was also released as a music video to positive reviews, including the following from 'Mix It All Up' music blog. '' 'Cheap Thrills' carries itself with attitude and is full of energy, displaying a rather dynamic sound with intelligent, self-assured lyrics and brash guitar riffs throughout. We guarantee you that the catchy hooks throughout 'Cheap Thrills' will linger in your head for days. Overall, it's already a stand out track of the year for us".
After the release of Ecstasy, Himalays embarked on a heavy live schedule for the rest of 2016 that included shows in London, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Brighton and festivals such as the nationally acclaimed Swn Fest established by Radio 1 stalwart Huw Stephens.
Over the last few months, the band have been busy recording new material and the next single 'Thank God I'm Not You' will be released in May 2017

Everything about this song is perfect.
His voice,
The guitar riffs and solo,
The fuzz,
The video !
I truly wish this band gets big one day they deserve it and because that’ll mean there’s more content like this out there for the world to enjoy !
