2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

Still A Friend Of Mine
Incognito Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And autumn leaves do fall
Oh, it sometimes rains in paradise
And even the warmest heart can turn to ice
I know it happend to us all
Every kind of people fall
And after all the tears are gone
Do we have the heart to carry on
Here and now, still somehow
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Oh
To think of all the times I hurt you
And never thought it through
Oh, I treated you so badly baby
Could such a cruel heart ever be free
I know it happens to us all
Every kind of people fall
Oh, and after all is said and done
Do we have the heart to carry on
Here and now, still somehow
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Oh
I know as long as I've got you
And we do the things we do
The next time baby
That our love breaks down
I'll do the best that I can
To turn it around
Here and now, still somehow
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Oh
Time and time and time again
I'm gonna be right here for you baby
Seasons come and seasons go
Gonna be right here for you
Here and now, still somehow
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Oh
Here and now, still somehow
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Oh
Here and now, still somehow
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, you're still a friend of mine
Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine
Oh
The lyrics to "Still A Friend Of Mine" by Incognito explores the idea that even when a romantic relationship ends and people may hurt each other, a friendship can still persevere. The metaphor of rain in paradise symbolizes the idea that even as things may appear perfect, they can still go wrong - "And even the warmest heart can turn to ice." The singer acknowledges that they have hurt the friend they are still addressing, but emphasizes that it happens to everyone, "Every kind of people fall." Despite this, the singer is still a friend of theirs and will always be there for them, "Here and now, still somehow, Still a friend of mine, oh you're still a friend of mine."
The lyrics suggest that this is more than a mere friendship and possibly had been a romantic relationship that ended, leaving the singer to realize that they are still in love and always will be. However, the loyalty shared between the two is more important, and the singer is willing to do anything to protect it, even if that means sacrificing their own romantic feelings. The use of "Still a friend of mine" throughout the song emphasizes the value of friendship, even when everything else fades away.

You know as true as trees are tall
You know deep down inside, without a doubt
And autumn leaves do fall
And just like how the leaves fall, things can change and end
Oh, it sometimes rains in paradise
Even in the perfect moments, hardships and struggles can still occur
And even the warmest heart can turn to ice
Even the kindest person can become cold and distant
I know it happend to us all
I understand that everyone experiences this
Every kind of people fall
No matter who you are, you can still stumble and make mistakes
And after all the tears are gone
After all the pain and suffering fades away
Do we have the heart to carry on
Can we find the strength to move forward
To think of all the times I hurt you
Reflecting back on how I caused you pain
And never thought it through
Without truly considering the consequences of my actions
Oh, I treated you so badly baby
I was unkind and hurtful towards you
Could such a cruel heart ever be free
Can someone who has caused harm truly redeem themselves
I know as long as I've got you
I know that as long as I have you in my life
And we do the things we do
And continue our daily routines and habits
The next time baby
If there ever is a next time
That our love breaks down
If our relationship ever falls apart
I'll do the best that I can
I'll try my hardest
To turn it around
To fix and repair what went wrong
Time and time and time again
Over and over and over
I'm gonna be right here for you baby
I'll be by your side and support you, always
Seasons come and seasons go
Life is constantly changing and evolving
Gonna be right here for you
I'll always be there for you, no matter what
