Inspired by new wave (Talking Heads, The Police), jazz fusion, funk, rock and hip-hop, their sound relates to the musical past, present and mostly future: progressive soul infused with electronics. While their sound was solely Hip-Hop in the beginning, Jack began to incorporate soul singing into their songs. Brook added touches of synth keyboards in place of the classic rhodes sound heard in the Neo-Soul songs that were so popular at the time.

In the present, the duo is being heralded as a cross between Erykah Badu, Prince, and Radiohead with traces of Funk and some future sound that has yet to be named.
