Fire and Rain
James Taylor Lyrics

Just yesterday morning they let me know you were gone
Susanne the plans they made put an end to you
I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song
I just can't remember who to send it to

I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again

Won't you look down upon me, jesus
You've got to help me make a stand
You've just got to see me through another day
My body's aching and my time is at hand
And I won't make it any other way

Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again

Been walking my mind to an easy time my back turned towards the sun
Lord knows when the cold wind blows it'll turn your head around
Well, there's hours of time on the telephone line to talk about things
To come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground

Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you, baby, one more time again, now

Thought I'd see you one more time again
There's just a few things coming my way this time around, now
Thought I'd see you, thought I'd see you fire and rain, now

@Evelio DLeon “Life is a school where you learn how to remember what your soul already knows.” Anonymous

My friend, we are born correct, with our hearts already knowing the golden rules, it is when that pure voice gets lost in the corrupting clatter of this life's agendas, our true-selves get misdirected to those messages, and fouled values.

It is written:

"The love of money is the root of all evil."
My Mother would quickly add:
"And the ego is the source of all sin!"

We get caught chasing a dream which takes us from our completely pure born self.
We are a round peg in this material world's square holes, always feeling we are the misfit, losing more of ourselves, the longer and harder we try to fit in places we were never supposed to be.

We are only as good as our information!
When you go through your self-inventory, remember the above.
Just amend yourself, don’t waste your time beating yourself up over anything, own it, and just change the behavior. Keep it simple!

I Hope something above will be helpful for you to live your life feeling stronger, and going in a positive direction with you more confident at the wheel.

Please Be Well, and Stay Strong, Will

“No amount of soul searching would fix my past. There was no magical Band-Aid I could stick on my heart, no special glue I could use to make myself whole again. I had shattered to pieces like a fragile vase on concrete; some fragments could be roughly cobbled back together, but many of my vital parts had simply turned to dust, pulverized and scattered by the first gust of wind.”

Suicide doesn't end the pain, it gives it to others, wrongly hurting only those who really did care.

My sister Sue left all her albums in our house when she moved out. I was 5 or 6. I discovered this album and song and listened to it so many times I still remember every lyric 50 years later. Thank you Sue. You have no idea how many gifts you have given me that have lasted a lifetime, and not the gifts that costed money, just being there as role model. I love you so much and always. Admiringly, Your little sis Deb

This is beautiful. Reminds me of the movie Almost Famous when the sister finally is free to travel and be herself and leaves her little brother all her records. Of course he falls in love with the music. Fantastic movie. I recommend it if you haven’t seen it.

You should definitely watch this movie about '70s music, Almost Famous.

My Dad passed away from a heart attack two weeks ago right in front of me. He was 53 years old. I will forever cherish the moments I had with him and I’m so grateful for him showing me the greatest music. Love you pop

I’m so sorry sweetheart, life can be so cruel and confusing. I’m sending prayers of love and comfort to everyone on this page. As you see you are not alone in your grief. I came her because this song reminds me of my closest friend of nearly forty yrs who died in a fire Christmas morning. Life baffles me. It breaks my heart then heals it again. ❤️
