Influences include the likes of Karnivool. They are one of the newest hard-hitting bands to hit the Melbourne music scene, fusing middle-eastern grooves with progressive, electronic, hard rock.
The original lineup of the band consisted of:
Roy Amar - Bass & Oud
Luke Halstead - Drums
Brent Mccormick - Vocals
Jordan Nagle - Guitar
Fetah Sabawi - Keys & Programming
After supporting Dead Letter Circus in Jericco's second gig, the band hit the studio to write and record their début self-titled EP with producer Warren Hammond. The six-track EP was released in 2008, and contained the single "Sun".
After touring with the likes of Mammal and Dead Letter Circus, the band settled down to record their second EP, "Nice To See You". The EP hit stores in 2010, and was followed a year later by a live album, "Live 2011", consisting of tracks from both EPs plus three new ones. The album featured drummer Luke Halstead's final shows with the band; in 2011 he was replaced by Matt Bray, formerly of 28 Days and K-Oscillate.
Jericco boasts to be one of a few bands in the world to consist of an Israeli and Palestinian musician, proving that musicians are always ahead of politicians and that music will not submit to anyone's political agenda.
