The extensive vocabulary, in addition with hymn structure and audience participation helped shape his earliest memories of music, and as he grew his interests sparked further afield.
"There are element of Christian referencing and my belief implemented into my lyrics, as evidenced in Breathe "I'll change your life like Jesus did Saul", but I try to not make it the sole focus of the music I make. My music isn't intended to be the soul-saving kind. If it helps in any particular way, I am pleased, but when I speak of ideas please believe these are from my mind, and my thoughts, not those taught to me. We have to learn independence in order to appreciate dependency to its fullest".
Initially writing rap music heavily influenced by his surroundings and combined with a mixture of anger and ambition, Jon D is now settling towards a more strenuous vocal delivery - singing.
Though yet to release any album-based material, an extensive series of demos were available through soundclick showcasing areas of versatility and an enjoyment of flexing the vocab muscles. Now attempting to take his music in a different direction completely, Jon D hopes to increase his knowledge of music and start to take up instruments to accompany his performance.
Jon D is currently on hiatus.
