Toronto on the 18th of September 1982. As a child Anton always had a way with
words, and this finally blossomed into a musical career in 1994 when he started
rapping both in English and French. He quickly gained recognition among his
peers in Quebec city for his unique brand of socially conscious raps. However,
as a teenager he ran into a lot of the stereotypical problems that people have
come to expect from rappers due to some of his illicit activities, and spent a
considerable amount of time on house arrest, in jail and on probation until his
late twenties. In 2006 he underwent a profound spiritual change and decided to
rededicate his life and music to helping the Third World. Kalki is the final
manifestation in a long line of spiritual rebirths: as a non-profit,
superconscious hip-hop artist he is dedicated to ending the misery and suffering
in this world and empowering all those who need it through his words. A tongue
is a double-edged sword. It can be a weapon, but it can also heal.
